Youth start talking about AMR in the Global South

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a real and growing threat to global health. It will affect people of all walks of life in every country, but those in the Global South who are disadvantaged by poverty, overcrowded cities, and with limited access to health care, will suffer the most. Young people in the Global South are engaging and learning about AMR. Now they are speaking out about the issue!

The YAAR! Project is a platform to empower young people from Kenya, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam to tell us what they think about AMR and how to reach their peers with youth-effective messages. They are working together to identify the key youth-led actions to slow down the spread of AMR bacteria and their potentially devastating effects.
